Project #1
The internet tried to scare me away from taking down the mirrored wall. It told me that I would need special equipment or even worse, professionals! It told me that it would make a huge mess. It told me it could lead to serious bleeding injuries. I considered leaving it up — I thought I could paint over it in some kind of hip way. Looking at the mirrors in the empty room, however, I started to seriously doubt my ability to camouflage the ugly. With a little bit of courage, and even more curiosity, I took off an outlet cover…just to get a better look. Then I pried one little tile off…just to see what would happen. Then a few more tiles came down, and guess what? The mirrored wall removal turned out to be (spoiler alert!) the fastest and easiest project so far.
Time: a few hours
Cost: free (until painting)
Stress Level: minimal

We got four packages today, and all were for my husband. Not a single one was nail mail. WTF, yo?
on a recent trip, my husband tells me he would like to take this exit and take a picture with my new “old” camera.

There’s a Lustron house in Sioux Falls as well. I’ve always wondered what was going on with that house. Thanks for the background info. I may...
